Vardenafil (PDE5 Inhibitor): Vardenafil inhibits PDE5, preserving cGMP in the penis to support smooth muscle relaxation and blood flow during sexual stimulation. Its receptor binding profile is slightly more selective than sildenafil for PDE5 over related enzymes, which may translate into a different side effect profile (less visual disturbance) for some patients.
