Minoxidil 7%: Minoxidil is a topical vasodilator that’s been used for hair loss for decades. It improves blood flow to follicles, extends the active growth phase of the hair cycle, and can stimulate dormant follicles. It works for both men and women and is typically applied once or twice daily to areas of thinning or loss. The 7% concentration is higher than standard over-the-counter 5%, giving more aggressive vasodilation and growth stimulation.
Tretinoin (Topical Retinoid): Tretinoin increases skin cell turnover and has been shown to enhance the absorption of topical minoxidil, potentially amplifying its effect.
Fluocinolone (Topical Corticosteroid): Fluocinolone reduces inflammation around hair follicles. Inflammation is increasingly recognized as a contributor to pattern hair loss progression.
Biotin (B-Vitamin): Biotin supports keratin synthesis, the protein your hair is made of. Topical biotin contributes to shaft strength and quality.

Not recommended for: Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals (tretinoin is teratogenic), people with active scalp infections, those allergic to any component, and patients with skin sensitivity to topical steroids.
Most common side effects are scalp irritation, redness, dryness, and itching, particularly during the first weeks. An initial shed (more hair falling out in the first 4 to 8 weeks) is normal and reflects the hair cycle synchronizing. Less common: facial hair growth in women, dizziness or rapid heart rate (rare, with significant absorption), and prolonged topical steroid use can thin the scalp skin.
